A Bit About Me

I'm a mum of two teenage girls, a primary school teacher and I love being active, especially running.  However, I appreciate that not everyone feels the same and that for some, exercise

is to be endured rather than enjoyed ! You have to find 'your thing' and then it becomes a part of your life. I began training to be a Pilates teacher because  I loved the strength it gave me, that it helped keep me away from running injuries, and that it gave me a new sense of control over my body.

The wonderful people I have met since I started teaching come to me for many reasons, from being advised by their GP or physio, brought by a friend, have read about the many benefits of Pilates in a magazine article, or simply want to come and try it.

 

I love teaching Pilates and seeing how people benefit, from gaining mobility, balance, improving their sport or just keeping active. I work hard to keep  my training up-to -date with webinars, courses and seminars as I have a wide variety of clients. from 30 to 90 years old.  My classes incorporate small equipment to keep them fun and challenging, and I enjoy engaging with clients, supporting them to achieve their full potential..  Class size is controlled so that you get individual hands on coaching and you learn the correct technique and progress at your own pace to get results.  

Some classes are gentle, with attention paid to balancing, mobility and increasing a sense of wellbeing.  Others have a focus on sport, with the exercises geared to these needs. 

Yoga :  April 2020 I am delighted to have completed my 200 hour teacher training with Parampara School of Yoga and will incorporate the many benefits of Yoga into classes, as appropriate.

Group Pilates

  • Level 3 Matwork Pilates

  • Level 3 Award in Supporting Pre and Post Natal clients in Exercise and Nutrition

  • 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training, Parampara School of Yoga, (Yoga Alliance accredited)

  • Fitness Pilates Activation Bands 

  • FitPro Instructor Public Liability Insured
